The Job
Working in private nurseries with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and provide a quality programme of activities. Also help children to develop physical, intellectual, language and social skills through play. You will work in partnership with parents, staff and management.

Training
1 class every 4 weeks at our Edinburgh or Glasgow training centre. Also one assessor visit a month to your work place to assess your practical ability.

Qualification Achieved
SVQ Level III Social Services Children and Young People

Social Services (Children and Young People) Level 3

Wage Scales
Wage scales are unknown as they are decided by the employer, however a fairly average wage
for an apprentice is approx £115 a week.

Entry
Aged 16-19 years and hold a minimum of 3 National Level 4's or 5's, one must include English.
Or equivalant intermediates.
